we have not tried something like that, but does it require 6 to be pressed after the call is connected, what about the caller id, how is it working at the moment, and how do u want it to work...?

I don't know the system yet, I don't think it needs caller ID. I just need to be able to push "6" to connect to the buzzer system. That will be my primary use for the call forwarding.

To update, I think what needs to happen is that with the VoIP call forwarding to my cell phone, the VoIP will still send the DTMF tone of the number "6" from my cell phone to the original caller (apartment buzzer system". If you can confirm this would work, that would be great thanks

i think it can work with our system, you can order a virtual number and add the dialtone access , so when someone call your cell phone they will have dialtone, and they can call your appartment buzzer number and press 6, and it will open the door, since appartment buzzer will only recognize your cellphone number as caller id , it should work,
